Thank you, Lisa Unger, for giving me a mystery novel to really get lost in!

I’ve been on a dry spell with mystery lately. The last several I’ve picked up have been disappointing. But this one. This one broke the spell! It’s also an example of doing multiple timelines RIGHT!! Both times lines are compelling and add to the story, and both create suspense on their own.

The first half was a little bit slow at times, but the second half packs one heck of a punch! Wren made me mad a few times, but overall she was a likeable character. Unger did a great job of making her characters human and flawed, not all good or bad.

The plot is more psychological, so it doesn’t get terribly graphic, which I appreciate, and it will keep you on your toes! If you like psychological thrillers, I recommend this one!
